Balarama in Vrindavana

Chapter 65

Balarama went to visit the residents of Vrindavana for two months, consoled them in their separation from Krishna, and performed His own rasa-lila. Once, whilst intoxicated by Varuni, He commanded the Yamuna to come closer so He could bathe in her waters with the gopis. When she refused, Balarama wielded His plow and dragged her, splitting the river into hundreds of tributaries. She then apologised, and Balarama enjoyed sporting in her waters.
