# Devahuti’s Prayers and Kapila’s Renunciation

In reply to Devahuti’s prayers and glorification, Kapiladeva stressed the practicality and power of devotional service in releasing one from all material entanglement.&#x20;

Having fulfilled His mission, Kapiladeva left home. Devahuti dedicated herself to the path and became so detached, enlightened, and absorbed, that she became indifferent to even the most basic bodily necessities. Kapiladeva left for the northern mountain ranges, while Devahuti eventually achieved liberation and the perfection of life.
