P - Prahlada Maharaja (5-7)

Prahlada Maharaja, one of the twelve great devotees (mahajanas), is a shining example of one who constantly remembered the Lord with unwavering devotion. Despite his father’s animosity towards Vishnu, Prahlada maintained his faith, causing Hiranyakasipu to angrily condemn him to die. Though Prahlada was thrown off a mountain, fed poison, hurled into a blazing fire, and tortured in a variety of other ways, he never became doubtful or weak, but continued expounding the glories of Krishna with increased enthusiasm and conviction.
